A Day of Discovery: P1 to P3 Study Excursion

July 17, 2026

Our Primary One to Primary Three pupils recently set off on an exciting study excursion, exploring some of Kampala's most important religious and cultural landmarks before ending the day with fun and laughter at a water park!

The young learners began their journey at Rubaga Cathedral, one of the oldest and most significant Catholic cathedrals in Uganda, where they learned about its history and religious importance. From there, the pupils visited Namirembe Cathedral, the mother church of the Anglican community in Uganda, gaining insight into its role in the country's religious heritage.

The excursion continued to the stunning Gaddafi National Mosque, one of the largest mosques in East Africa, where pupils marveled at its beautiful architecture and learned about Islamic traditions and worship.

Next, the children experienced the lively atmosphere of Busega Market, observing the hustle and bustle of everyday trade and getting a firsthand look at how goods are bought and sold in a busy local market.

After a morning full of learning, the pupils ended their excursion with pure fun and excitement at Aqua World Water Park in Naalya! The children splashed, played, and laughed on the water slides and pools, making the day a perfect balance of education and enjoyment.

This excursion gave our young learners a wonderful opportunity to explore different religious sites, understand their community better, and enjoy quality time together outside the classroom. A big thank you to the teachers and staff who organized and supervised the trip, ensuring a safe and memorable experience for all our pupils!
