October was an exciting and eventful month at Light Academy Nursery and Primary School, filled with remarkable achievements and activities that brought our school community closer together. From academic milestones to impactful extracurricular events, here’s a recap of what made this month special:
We began the month by celebrating the winners of the Independence Day Quiz Competition. This highly anticipated event showcased our students’ exceptional knowledge and patriotism. The winners impressed everyone with their deep understanding of Uganda’s history and independence journey, making the entire school proud of their hard work and brilliance.
In line with our commitment to holistic education, we hosted a Parents’ Seminar on Parenting Adolescents. The session provided parents with valuable insights and practical tools to navigate the challenges of raising adolescents. With expert speakers and engaging discussions, the seminar emphasized strengthening family bonds and understanding the unique needs of teenagers. The overwhelming positive feedback from parents highlighted the importance of such programs in building a supportive community.
As exam season drew near, we extended our heartfelt best wishes to all our candidates preparing for their final exams. A special focus was on our Primary Seven pupils who marked their PLE Day, a significant milestone in their academic journey. With prayers and encouragement from teachers and parents, they stepped into their exams with confidence and readiness. We are incredibly proud of their dedication and look forward to celebrating their success.
Our extracurricular activities also took center stage, with the Miss TV Club showcasing its creativity and innovation. From captivating talk shows to inspiring short films, the club provided students with an opportunity to explore their talents in media and storytelling. The projects not only entertained but also encouraged creative thinking and teamwork, leaving a lasting impact on the school community.
